Teltonika RUT951

Teltonika RUT951 Dual-SIM 4G LTE Router

The Teltonika RUT951 has taken all of the best features of the popular RUT950, with the difference in the two units laying inside the unit, with the QualComm Chip being replaced by one from MediaTek to try and avoid any disturbances in the global supply chain caused by the chipset and semiconductor shortage seen in recent times.

Powered by RutOS and compatible with Teltonika’s Remote Management System (RMS), the RUT951 router is ideal for use in a number of professional installations. With the support of the centralised Teltonika Remote Management System you will be able to access, control and monitor all of your routers within a single platform.

Teltonika RUT951 Key Highlights

  • Connectivity: CAT4 4G/LTE, 3G, 2G
  • WAN Failover: Automatic switch to available backup connection
  • WiFi: Wireless Access Point with Hotspot functionality
  • Dual SIM: 2 x SIM slots with auto failover, backup WAN and other switching scenarios

RUTX50 5G Router

RUTX50

Teltonika RUTX50 is the new high speed, 5G industrial router providing the ideal solution for M2M / IoT connectivity applications that need high speed connectivity.

Utilising the high speed 5G connectivity quickly being rolled out across the UK, the Teltonika RUTX50 builds upon the success of the Teltonika Industrial 4G router range, including the popular RUT950, RUT955, RUT240, RUTX12 and RUTX14.

The RUTX50 router uses the tried and tested RUTX architecture with a new embedded 5G modem to deliver lightning fast 5G connectivity. Combined with the Teltonika RUTOS and RMS (Remote Management System) the RUTX50 is due to cause a stir in the crowded Industrial 5G router marketplace.

The RUTX50 price is expected to be around £695 retail with trade pricing at around £645.00.

Teltonika have announced the launch of their 5G router and 5G Gateway (TRB500) via a youtube live video launch in September where they will unveil the full RUTX50 specification and features, along with pricing and availability.

Unlimited Data Fixed IP SIM Cards

Unlimited Fixed IP SIM

When using a Teltonika router for remote access and monitoring when using large amounts of data you can now buy a Fixed IP SIM card with large amounts of data. These Fixed IP SIM cards are advertised as Unlimited Fixed IP SIM’s but like most things broadband related they come with a fair use policy which is usually between 500GB-650GB per month.

This means that if you are remotely connecting to a CCTV IP Camera / CCTV NVR using a 4G mobile broadband service and are fed up of large bills every month when you use more than your 20GB or 50GB inclusive data allowance normally used by CCTV installers and users then an unlimited data fixed IP SIM card can be the best solution for you. Costing just a little bit more than a normal 20GB Fixed IP SIM you can now fix your monthly remote access costs without the worry of overspending.

These mobile broadband data SIM cards are available on several different networks and come with a fixed, public IP address. This means that you can directly connect to your Teltonika router and use port forwarding to connect to the devices on the LAN.

These SIM Cards work on 4G and 5G where available and of course the type of router you install it into. At the time of writing this Teltonika routers are only available with embedded 4G modems, but when you are able to purchase a Teltonika 5G router in the future these SIM cards will work with your new 5G router.

Teltonika 5G Router

We get many questions recently about when Teltonika with launch their new 5G Router.

The quick answer is that there is no information from Teltonika about a 5G router but we can speculate whether they will just add a 5G modem inside existing M2M routers and perhaps make a RUT950 5G Router or RUT955 5G Router version. It might be the case when considering the launch of a new Teltonika 5G Router that they decide to use their office based routers like the RUTX11, RUTX12 and use these as the base for the new 5G devices or whether they will manufacture a brand new hardware platform for their new 5G router.
